Can I translate without notarizing?

Yes, you can. However, documents that are only translated without notarization will not be legalized and cannot be used in administrative procedures in Vietnam. In Vietnam, all translations need to be notarized by a local Notary Public to be considered legally binding and enforceable.

In addition, a notarized translation is also a mandatory document in the process of applying for consular certification in Vietnam.
